Getting Ready for Medicare
If you’re about to turn 65, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
Get the basics down.
Medicare coverage is made up of several "parts" that are designed to fit specific needs. Original Medicare (Parts A and B), Medicare Advantage
(Part C) and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D).

Stay ahead of the game.
You can sign up for regular Medicare A & B anytime starting three months before your 65th birthday, the month during your 65th birthday ending three months after your 65th birthday through the Social Security Administration (You are leaving a Medicare-approved site).
Important Tip!If you do not enroll in this period a 10% penalty may be imposed.
Choose your plan.
Once you’ve signed up for Medicare Part A and Part B, you can also enroll in a HAP Medicare plan to make sure your coverage is ready to begin the day you turn 65.
